PNSG and its partners identified the need to create newcomer-specific bulletins and interactive maps that can be utilized by community agencies, residents, policy-makers and researchers as they continue planning and developing programs and services impacting newcomers.
211, the ultimate public resource, is a telephone helpline created to help Canadians access and navigate the right information and services in a timely and convenient manner. The organization collects, organizes and disseminates regularly updated public information about human service organizations enabling residents to make better more informed choices and decisions.
The Peel Immigration Portal serves as a comprehensive resource for newcomers from before they arrive in Peel and covers all aspects of newcomer inclusion and settlement in the community. The site also offers current immigration news and policy changes and links to relevant services.
Peel Children and Youth Initiative (PCYI)
The Peel Children and Youth Initiative (PCYI) is a back-bone organization that works collaboratively with more than 100 partners and members that work with children, youth and families living in Peel. The initiatives primary goal is to improve the lives of children and youth (0-24) in the region by improving systems, practices and policy changes through authentic community engagement.
